Approached by the Palliative Care Garden Community, SAID Inc. was challenged to design an area of respite for people in palliative care at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. The aim was to lead patients and visitors on a journey down a serene path to a pavilion where they could enjoy the beauty of their surroundings. Contextual to the surrounding landscaped grounds the conceptualized pagoda evokes a sense of peace and spirituality.
